For StarLand Private Gymnasium in Rivne, Ukraine, URBAN Monkeys created a multifunctional outdoor space that brings together sports, active play, and recreation.
A modern school is more than just classrooms. Its outdoor environment also plays an important role in providing opportunities for physical activity, social interaction, and children's development throughout the school day.
A Schoolyard with New Possibilities
We see a playground as an essential part of educational infrastructure, rather than simply a place for entertainment.
At StarLand, the outdoor play area is designed around three key activities:
-Sports — physical activity, strength, and endurance development.
-Play — climbing, swinging, balancing, and exploring.
-Social interaction — teamwork, communication, and shared recreation.
This approach offers students a wider variety of activities and encourages them to spend more time outdoors.

For this project, we combined different categories of URBAN Monkeys playground equipment:
- TOWERS-21 and VERTEX-06 — large multifunctional play structures for active play.
- Sports complex and table tennis table — for physical exercise and recreational sports.
- Swings, seesaws, and rope carousel — for dynamic and group activities.
- Interactive play elements and stepping platforms — for coordination, exploration, and communication.
Together, these elements create a diverse environment where every child can find an activity that suits their interests.
