Playground for Ot Kutyur Residential Complex
For the Ot Kutyur Residential Complex in Strumivka, URBAN Monkeys created a modern playground that continues the overall concept of the development — a thoughtfully designed space without unnecessary details.
The playground combines different types of activities for children of various ages, while the restrained color palette complements the contemporary architecture and landscaping of the residential complex.
Challenge
The main objective was to create a functional and visually cohesive playground.
The project needed to:
-provide activities for different age groups;
-combine calm and dynamic play;
-make efficient use of the available space;
-complement the architectural style of the residential complex;
-ensure safety and long-term durability.
Play Space
Instead of focusing on a single play scenario, we created a diverse environment for play, movement and exploration.
The centerpiece is the TOWERS-7 playground structure, complemented by a sports complex, round swing, steering-wheel carousel, seesaw and an in-ground trampoline.
For younger children, we included HDPE playhouses and a play kitchen, adding imaginative and role-play activities.
The playground brings together:
- climbing and balancing;
- slides and active movement;
- swinging and spinning;
- trampoline jumping;
- sports activities;
- imaginative and role play.
Design
For Ot Kutyur, it was important that the playground equipment did not look like a random collection of bright elements.
The restrained color palette complements the architecture, while landscaping and thoughtfully designed paving integrate the playground into the overall courtyard.
As a result, the play area became part of a cohesive architectural and landscape concept.
Safety & Durability
URBAN Monkeys playground equipment is designed in accordance with EN 1176 requirements.
The project takes into account:
-required safety zones;
-appropriate distances between play elements;
-permitted fall heights;
-different age groups;
-intensive daily use.
The materials and structures are designed for long-term use in a residential environment.
Result
Ot Kutyur received more than a collection of playground equipment — it gained a complete play space with multiple activity scenarios.
The playground:
